WEATHER POLICY

The YMCA will always make decisions concerning closing and cancelations due to inclement weather based on the safety of members, participants, and staff.

On SOME occasions we will follow the Pottsville Area School district information. Always check with our Facebook or Website for any delays or closures.

If the School District cancels school for the day, we sometimes will have:

All YMCA classes and programs canceled
Child Watch (AM and PM) are closed

If the School District has a delayed start, we sometimes will have:

YMCA morning classes canceled
AM Child Watch is canceled

If the School District has an early dismissal, we sometimes will have:

YMCA evening classes and programs canceled
PM Child Watch is canceled

We will also make every effort to call and leave a message with individual participants or coaches of team based programs.
Please make sure we have updated contact information in our systems.
